Smores Gift Basket

Now that school is in full blown mode I know mothers like me are looking for great teacher gifts. Why not try a smores baskets. This is an easy gift to do with young kids especially if your trying to teach counting skills.
With winter right around the corner and more leaves falling everyday toasting marshmallows would really hit the spot. I love this basket idea because it can be tailored to fit any appetite. If the intended receiver is gluten free, diabetic, or just a fine food lover just search your local specialty markets for great options. How about substituting regular graham crackers for gluten free ones or packing fancy dark chocolates for a foodie.
If your young ones aren't school age yet, don't fret. This gift would be perfect for anyone! I'm thinking Christmas gifts maybe?

Seven on Sun(day)Things In Jars

I love Mason jars! They're beautiful to look at, sturdy and very inexpensive. Here are sons great things to so with those canning or old food jars.

Dresser Organizer

I've been busy trying to get my home clutter under control. So I decided I needed something to corral all of the free makeup and nail polish I've been getting lately. With a quick trip to my local Dollar Tree, some items that I had on hand and about an hour I made me an cute vintage inspired organizer.
To add a pop of color I painted the underside of the top plate pink. I figured this was the perfect opportunity to sneak the forbidden girly color into a house full of the male species. The paint is from Martha Stewart.

Supplies
2 plates
Clear candlestick
Strong glue like E6000
Paint
Paintbrush

Just glue the candlestick between the two plates, embellish anyway you like and enjoy!

Todays Bento

Bon Appetit!

Cheapo Footies

When my husband and I bought our home 3 years ago we were super excited about the dark hardwood floors. Fast forward to September 2012 and our newly one year old son is slip-sliding and falling on our beloved cold September floors. My DS hates to keep shoes on his feet (just like momma) so houseshoes are out of the question.. Here's my cheapo answer to slip prone floors. These aren't just for kids either. I'm making these for the entire family!

Seven on Sun(day)

For the last several weeks I've been desperately trying to organize my life. I've been going through one room at a time clearing as much clutter as possible, and I have ALOT of clutter! Blame it on my unquenchable thirst to try EVERY SINGLE craft EVER! (I really think I have a crafting problem). My life is full of scrapbooking, fabric, felt, preserve making, jewelry, and hairpiece supplies. And that's just my crafts. Lets not forget my massive couponing stockpile and clothing and home item collection. So if you are anything like me and need to de-clutter your life follow check below for some great inspirations. Don't forget to check out my organizational board and their links on PINTEREST.

Have you seen these?

I'm in LOVE with the Harajuku Lovers line by Gwen Stefani! Target is my go to source for her cutesy collection and here's their latest addition. Although super chic at $25 for tweezers I'll have to wait for clearance for those. The line also includes finger nail files for $2 and a small purse mirror that I just gotta have for $10.

Busy Book

You ever have one of those days that your so hyped up that you start work on some huge project? Well that was last night for me. Maybe it was the Healthe Trim maybe it was my love for my child combined with my desire to make something...idk. But last night I started this busy book which is sure to take me several weeks to finish. It was probably the HT because I spent the last 5 hours of last night (until 4 am) painting and Re-painting my balls repeatedly!
Here's a sneak peek.

I have a busy book board on Pinterest. Take a look!

Falling For Autumn

I love fall! Every year in late August I begin to yearn for Crock-Pot meals, fresh pressed cider, warm cozy clothing and beautiful red and orange foliage. Well this year it's all about white for me and my home. Here's my inspiration board for my Fall decor for this year.
Here's the link to my boards to see all the great Autumn ideas that I've pinned!

Tuesday's Bento

Here's todays bento box all Instagramed up for you! It has Bologna flowers, string cheese, mini chocolate chip cookies, Ritz Munchables mini crackers, and apples with caramel dip.

Its all served in a cool Toy Story mini tin lunchbox. I got this little guy complete with matching stickers from the Disney Outlet Store here in Michigan at Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Mall for only $.75. Now that's what I call a bargain! I made the little picks using colorful party food picks from Dollar Tree. I simply stuck the Toy Story stickers that came with the mini lunchbox on the widest end of the picks and voila! To make the back side of the stickers less...well....sticky I just pressed them into some granulated sugar.

Monday's Bento

Here's my kindergartner's lunch for Monday. It includes: rolled turkey, Colby cheese, grapes, a blueberry Nutrigrain bar and mini Ritz crackers called Munchables.(Have you tried these? My kids are absolutely obsessed with these!)

I served everything in a small bento box with a Horizon organic chocolate milk and water because my child is a fish and perpetually thirsty (just like mummy)
